Interview on Zen Practice and Writing

Oh, it’s been so long since I wrote something here, I know. Life, she flies.

But I just received this link from some wonderful people in Great Britain and I thought to post it here for you to take a look at. It’s not very long at all, but I enjoyed doing the interview very much.

Here’s the link:

And, since apparently I’m from the very very slow school, it just occurred to me to repost this link since it relates to the one above.

thanks for your patience.

I loved your interview! As one of the many you introduced to mindful writing years ago it was lovely to read about the relationship you engender between Zen and creativity, and especially how you feel there is never any disparity or dissonance between them both. Thank you!

thank you, edith. You say it just right. Each discipline helps us to embody total presence when we give ourselves completely to what is before us. Hard to make something real for ourselves or others in creative work from the ‘outside’, and, likewise, hard to be real to ourselves (or others) if we try to live from outside these very lives. So, yes. There is no disparity at all.
